What kind of sea creature is Remo?

What kind of sea creature is Remo from the barbie in A Mermaid Tale movies? I think he might be some kind of seahorse but I really don't know.

THEY ARE ADORABLE. <3 I cinta leafy sea dragons, and I cinta Remo. :} I was delighted to see one as a character...that's a first. ^_^ These guys are related to seahorses, in the same family...they have awesome natural camouflage, eh?

the thing is, if anda see the blue and purple seahorses at the beginning of MT2, they don't look like Remo at all. thanks :)

Remo is special, like, anda see, he was stylized as weak nerd who's following Eris everywhere. Those twoseahorses were just fan (also, Remo's from MT1, where the whole style was different).
