I think she felt bad both times, but I always see the feeling bad because of sleeping with Spike as her making herself feel that way. I think he was right in saying she wanted to feel misreable that season. With Angel, a young girl had just lost her virginity to someone she thought loved her, who ripped out her heart in the worse way.

Me I have think both because, Buffy did lost her virginity over Angel. And Angel lost his soul and Buffy went back to see to him if he is ok. Then when she came back Angel change and Buffy felt bad that Angel lost his soul. That comment that Angelus said to Buffy you are a pro of sex. She felt disgusted over him. And after Buffy had the lusty relationship with Spike that she would no forgave herself over something bad. She felt that she was wrong that she back wrong. She felt that letting herself to Spike. She felt weak and disgusted over Spike.

Any way I go with Spike and Angel . But I am spuffy fan so there.

She did lose her virginity over Angel, but it was her choice. And it wasn't Angel, so you can't blame him.

i'm simply asking when did she feel worse about herself, i think with angel the main thing would have been the guilt because she thought she did it, where as with spike it was the realization that she had done it
so i'm indecisive it doesn't look good really for either of our boys

the angel one i think was more confusion than disgust with herself, wheras you could see how disgusted she was after finfind out nothing was wrong with her!

I agree that she obviously felt seriously crappy after both, and not overly surprised!
But With Angel it was more like it wasn't her that made it worse, she just felt betrayed and confused. Where as with Spike I think she felt more disgusted, confused and as if it were her own fault for sleeping with him and letting it happen when she clearly didn't have feelings for him at all. A kinda last resort kinda thing.
Ok not sure if that makes sense or even gets across what I was trying to say, I'm very confused now :D

She was absolutely disgusted in herself for sleeping with Spike, and that showed here. The apartment aftermath (which is a brilliant scene by the way) is hard for Buffy sure, but she doesn't hate herself...she just can't understand what she's done wrong to make Angel act that way.

Hmmm difficult choice, obviously both scenes were low points for her. I have to say the sleeping with Spike made her feel worse about herself though, because I think that after the scene between Buffy and (unknown to her) Angelus in Angel's apartment, while incredibly painful for her, was more confusion, whereas after finding out that nothing was wrong with her in season 6 I think there was a real self-loathing and disgust with herself, she was at a real low of self-belief and self-esteem and felt awful about who she'd become. I think the whole relationship with Spike in season 6 had a really damaging affect on Buffy's sense of self-worth, and while her awful experiences with Angelus also did in a way, there wasn't self-loathing in the same way because she knew that what had happened wasn't her fault. She felt guilty because she felt that she had destroyed Angel, i.e. her anti-forgiveness speech in I Only Have Eyes For You, but at the same time she knew that it wasn't her fault and that she couldn't have known. She was heartbroken over losing Angel, but didn't hate herself in the same way as she did in season 6. She still had some self-belief, or she wouldn't have been able to kill Angelus (or almost kill him anyway).

Only because she blamed herself for people now being in danger.

I think both times, but I felt so sad for Buffy when Angel lost his soul. It was a sad scene.
