	jemgrl323 picked Spike almost dying for Buffy's sister (Intervention): I think that Angel has performed many selfless and sacrificial acts of love for Buffy... but I don't think of his actions in Earshot as one of those (I think he's done many things much more selfless and heroic than what he did in Earshot). He was risking his life in order to save Buffy's... but they fight demons on a daily basis- so it takes something outside of fighting and killing a demon for me to view it as extraordinary. Spike was tied up and tortured and did not reveal Dawn's true identity as the key because he knew how much Dawn meant to Buffy. I'm not really a Spuffy fan, but their kiss at the end of Intervention is one of my favorite Spuffy scenes. posted lebih dari setahun yang lalu.

As jemgrl323 said, Angel has made sacrifices for Buffy but this certainly wasn't one of them. Spike suffering torture without exposing Dawn, not thinking for one second that anyone was coming to save him and knowing that Glory was going to kill him. Angel did a lot of selfeless things for Buffy, but I don't really view this particular thing as one of them. Spike was soulles at that point, he was tied and tortured and almost died - having no idea that Buffy & Scoobies will come for him. If he had died during the torture Buffy wouldn't even have known about his heroic sacrifice. He did it because he didn't want to leave Buffy in pain, because he knew how much Buffy loved Dawn.
