Mahone was born in San Antonio, Texas. He first started posting video on YouTube with his friend Alex Constancio in June 2010.[5] musik video followed oleh January 2011, and he began to build an online following. Mahone taught himself drums, took gitar lessons for a tahun and a half and “sang in the mandi, shower … until last tahun when this girl on YouTube helped me with my breath control and taught me different warmups."[12] Mahone's fanbase have called themselves "Mahomies".
