I never really got into One Piece, and I heard it's gotten better and has in a sense "grown up." But for some reason I just have no interest to try and go back and watch it.

However I started watching Naruto around the same time. I watched almost the whole series but lost interest. But when I heard it had "grown up" a bit in Naruto Shippuden, I went back and rewatched all of Naruto and then started with Naruto Shippuden. I have to say I wasn't disappointed and have stuck with it to this day.
