Thora Birch. I thinks she's one of the most talented actresses out there, but she gets some super shitty roles. I think the situation could be easily unfucked by getting her a competent manager instead of her ex-porn star father (who has reportedly gotten her fired from a stage production or two and is a general creeper)... come on, Thora. You deserve so much better.

Day Four: An Actress Who Makes You Sad

I must be in a morbid mood today... Brittany Murphy. She makes me sad on 2 levels: 1) she died young, and 2) I actually never liked her in anything except for 'King Of The Hill' and 'Girl, Interrupted', in which she was brilliant. It made me sad that she was so amazing in that complex and horrible role, yet the rest of her career was dominated by crap roles with no depth at all. It makes me sad that she became well-known for shitty, stereotypical, ditzy roles when such an amazing performance in 'Girl, Interrupted' often goes unmentioned. And her in 'King Of The Hill' was really good too. But people remember her terrible work and the controversy of her death instead. I dunno, maybe she liked doing all that fluffy crap, but I think its a shame that she really wasn't, and still isn't, recognised for the great dramatic work that she would knock out of the park every now and then.

Aside from the red hair, Deborah Ann Woll looks very much like my best friend. I thought for years that link was the closest, but that may have been influenced by her character in Freaks & Geeks, which I believe may have been based on this friend. =P

Maude Apatow, who is pictured here with her mother, the lovely Leslie Mann. Yes, I am aware that Maude is only about 13. And that she's funnier, more Jewish, way more creative and generally cooler than I am. But we think a lot alike. If not for the age difference and the fact we've never met/never will, I'm pretty sure we could be best friends. =P

I gotta count just about everything. I've seen 13 Michelle Rodriguez movies, which makes her my winner. Thora Birch comes in 2nd with 12.

Day Eight: An Actress You Have Seen Countless Movies Of

I've seen all the Olivia Wilde movies that I have available to me, but there are still about 4 or 5 that I can't get my hands on. I've probably seen more Helena Bonham Carter, Angelina Jolie and Christina Ricci movies, but I'm nowhere near having seen most of them, like I am with my Olivia. So in terms of percentage of movies seen, Olivia Wilde wins.

I'm impressed that I managed to get through 8 days without mentioninng Olivia.

Laura Ramsey & Jessica Lucas (The Covenant) win over Michelle Rodriguez (The Fast and the Furious) simply because, well, there's two of them. =D

I thought it was kinda stupid the first time I watched it, but it's grown on me. It's an amazingly cheesy made-for-tv (ABC Family, to be exact) movie, but it's kinda cute. Wouldn't have bothered if Mika hadn't been involved, but I like it a little more every time I watch it.

If Olivia Wilde wasn't in 'Turistas' I would never have watched it and I probably wouldn't have liked it if I did watch it. But I've grown to tolerate the other actors and actually like the movie.

Kelli Giddish, if we're going for compatibility in an actual roommate and not a "roommate." ;) From what I've heard in interviews, she seems like my kind of person - it's easy to identify with her Southern-ness and a lot of the stuff that comes with it. (translation: "mild redneck-ery") I'd hate to have that accent stick, though. =P

I think there would be something delightfully wacky about living with Helena Bonham Carter, but thinking practically (because this is fo' serious, yo) probably Eliza Coupe. But I'm basing that almost entirely on characters that she has played that I want to live with... oh well.

Not always, apparently, 'cause I thought for a long time about this, but I'm going with Busy Philipps. She's interesting, funny and normal enough where I probably wouldn't be terrified of her. =P

I'll say Phoebe Cates because she's so damn classy while also being so damn funny and plus, she's married to Kevin Kline, which I guess is the true root of my envy.

Now it's probably not the smartest or most modest thing to say that Marilyn Monroe reminds me of myself, but hear me out. I'm not talking about her amazing body, her talent, her strength or the sparkle in her eyes. The only parts I can identify myself with were her self-doubts and her stage fear/anxiety.
That is all and I know it's lame, but I don't know as much about any other actress' personal life as I know/or I think I know about Marilyn Monroe's, so this is really the only thing I could think of...

Day 16: An Actress you used to worship and now hate

Never came anywhere close to 'worship' status, but I liked Anna Paquin when I was a kid, when she was in Fly Away Home. But now... ugh. She annoys me on True Blood, but every single one of her scenes in Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee was painful to watch. Stop being in things I want to see, please.

Day Sixteen: An Actress You Used To Worship And Now Hate

As with the actors, I don't think I have an answer for this one. There are actresses that I liked, but then found out something about them that made me dislike them, but nothing as dramatic as worship-hate... I was gonna say Juliette Lewis because I always love her until I remember that shes a scientologist and as petty as it may seem, scientology is a massive turn-off for me. I saw an interview with her about scientology and I was just so unimpressed. But she is really is an amazing actress and I've loved her in everything I've seen her in, so I can't in all honesty pick her for this day. Maybe Jenny McCarthy... She isn't exactly the greatest actress in the world, but I think shes really pretty funny. But I found out that she leads a campaign against vaccinating children based on totally debunked information, and once I found out she does that I felt that I couldn't possibly say I like her. I still thik she's funny and I have liked her work, but if I ever met her I'd tell her that she needs to find another way to vent her frustration other than spreading dangerous lies.

Nowhere close to ~countless~, but I've seen quite a few movies with Keira Knightley. She always seems to be in good ones :)
